About these downloads
Choose notarized macOS builds when available. Signed builds may still be awaiting notarization. Downloads are ZIP archives, retained for 14 days. Only installers uploaded after October 2, 2026 at 16:37 UTC are public. A failed build can still have a usable installer from a successful packaging job.
PR, commit, and log links open GitHub and may require repository access. Notes are the commit author's description.

Stop the view following the pointer after a middle-button drag ends outside the window (DRA-482)
macOS doesn't tell the window when a middle button is let go outside it, so
dragging the view with the middle button and releasing past the window's edge
left the view stuck to the pointer when it came back. Both design pages and
whiteboard pages now treat the first move without the button held as the
release.

Merge pull request #17 from selalipop/codex/port-paper-projects
The tab and the toolbar below it are the same colour and only met edge to
edge, so at zoom levels that put that edge between pixels a thin line of the
tab strip showed through. The tab now runs a little way into the toolbar.

Commits to other branches no longer package the desktop apps on their own,
which used up the Actions budget. Any branch can still be built by running the
workflow by hand.

Show artboards inside a Safari or Chrome window (DRA-481)
An artboard can now be drawn inside a browser window, for presenting a web
design the way it will be seen. Safari and Chrome on the Mac are available, each
in light or dark. People pick one under Device frame in the artboard's
inspector, and agents use set_artboard_frame. inspect_node reports the frame,
and a copied artboard keeps it when pasted.
The window bar sits above the artboard. The artboard keeps its width and height
as the page's viewport. The bars are vector drawings, so they stay sharp at any
zoom. Their backgrounds and address bars stretch with the artboard, while the
buttons stay at their edges and drop out one by one on narrow artboards.
The design canvas leaves room for the bar when it fits, scrolls or zooms to an
artboard. New artboards are placed clear of it, and the shared viewer draws it
too. Agent screenshots and PNG exports still show only the page.
The agent tool list's size ceiling goes from 65,000 to 66,000 characters to make
room for the new tool.
Artboards store the frame as deviceFrame, null when there is none, so the
document revision goes up to 5. Existing files need deviceFrame: null added to
their artboards.

Open layer links from AI chats straight in Draftly
Chat apps only make a link clickable when they know its scheme. VS Code Insiders' scheme is one
most of them allow, and almost nobody has an app answering it, so on a Mac where nothing else
does, Draftly answers it and agents write their layer links that way. Clicking one opens the
file with the layer picked. It's on by default and can be turned off in Preferences, under
Advanced, which puts agents back on open.whisk.design links.

Send open links straight to Draftly from the browser
Browsers that skip universal links, such as Chrome, used to land on a page whose automatic
redirect to draftly:// they quietly ignored. They now get a plain redirect to the draftly://
link, which carries the click that opened the link, so the browser offers to open Draftly.
Link previews still get the page with the app icon.

Copy layers as bold links that open them in Draftly
A copied layer now pastes as a bold Markdown link named after the layer, pointing at
open.whisk.design, instead of its name and a draftly:// reference on separate lines. Clicking
the link opens the layer in Draftly, and agent tools take the same link wherever they took a
reference.

Ask agents to bold layer links and title-case their names
Chat apps and favicon services ask for /favicon.ico, which was getting the hand-off page
back instead of an icon.

Ask agents for named layer links and give open links a preview
Agents now write layers as Markdown links named after the layer, rather than bare ids or
draftly:// links. Pasted open.whisk.design links preview with the app icon.

Hand sign-in back to the app through open.whisk.design
In production the sign-in callback now sends the browser on to
open.whisk.design, which macOS can open in Draftly directly. Browsers that
skip universal links get the same hand-off page, so they still end up in
the app. Local development keeps the web app's return page.

Links people paste can now be written on open.whisk.design, which stands for
the draftly:// link with the same path. A small Worker there tells Apple the
whole host belongs to the Mac app, so macOS opens these links straight in
Draftly. Where it doesn't, the page forwards to the draftly:// link instead.
The app turns the link macOS hands it back into the draftly:// link and opens
it the usual way, and a shared helper writes the open link for any draftly://
link.
This replaces the invitation-only association on the backend's own host.

Open invitation links in the Mac app instead of the browser
The backend now tells Apple that invitation pages on workers.whisk.design
belong to the signed Mac app, and the app is signed with a Developer ID
profile that carries the matching associated domain. When macOS hands the
app one of those links, it opens the same invitation the page would have
sent the person to.

Deploy the marketing site from the Whisk Cloudflare account
whisk.design is moving into the Whisk account next to the backend, so the
site is deployed there too.

Catch the Error ID message box in the packaged app check
With error reporting on, as on main, a failed sign-in callback is shown in a
message box that offers to copy its Error ID rather than the plain error box,
which was the only dialog the Linux packaged app check listened for, so it saw
no error and failed every main build.

Leave a blank log destination out of the backend deploy
A repository variable that isn't set arrives as an empty string, which the
deploy refuses as a setting that didn't reach it.

Deploy the backend without a log destination when none is configured
The deploy refused to start without BETTER_STACK_LOG_DESTINATION, although the
Worker's configuration already treats log export as optional.
